Current Announcements
Service has resumed and we will be practicing social distancing between family units. The doors will be propped open so no one will have to touch a door knob, handle, or bar. The decision to wear a mask is up to you. Of course if you are not feeling well please stay at home. There will be no refreshments served from the kitchen. You may use our hand sanitizer, pick up a bulletin and be seated as you enter. Please do not sit in the pews that are blocked off with ribbons for social distancing.
If you come and don’t feel comfortable receiving the Lord’s Supper in this setting, we will understand. Distribution of the body and blood of our Lord will take place close to the first pew in the front of the sanctuary. We will not use the altar rail. This will be a continuous distribution with a final dismissal and blessing will be given by the pastor after all have been communed. Tape will be placed on the carpet in the middle isle in the front of the sanctuary at six foot intervals as you line up by family units to receive the body and blood of our Lord. The communion wafer will be dropped into your hands with a tong and the individual cups will be generously and amply separated in the trays for you to pick up one without touching another one. The common cup will not be used until further notice.
The offering plates will not be passed. There will be an offering box in the narthex. At the end of the service please continue to observe social distancing as you leave the building and talk with members outside on the grass or parking lot. Stay calm, move slowly, maintaining appropriate spacing.
